My education:
I am a graduate of Marywood College in Scranton, PA. I have taken additional graduate work at New York University in New York City and St. John's University in Queens, NY.
I continue my education by regularly attending seminars and workshops on a variety of topics that help me to understand and bring the latest skills and techniques to my clients.
My experience:
My experience includes serving as a teacher, guidance counselor, school psychologist, and administrator in the public schools of Pennsylvania.
My private practice focuses on helping individuals of all ages, couples and families to achieve their goals and to maintain a mentally healthy lifestyle.
Forensics:
I also have an additional specialty in forensics, which means I deal with psychological issues facing clients who are also dealing with the law.
These matters include such things as personal injury, divorce, child custody, and criminal matters. These matters are special and have different rules from my clinical practice.
Forensic services are not ususally covered under any medical insurance policies.
If you have an issue dealing with the law, please feel free to have your attorney contact me so I can explain my services in detail to him/her.
Bariatric Surgery:
If you are a candidate for sugery to assist with weight loss, such as gastric by-pass or lap-band, you will be required to undergo a behavioral health evaluation.
I have been specially trained by the American Society of Bariatric Surgery to perform these evaluations. I also provide follow-up after the surgery.
